Moral responsiblility

Once I become aware of an issue, I will not ignore it, although I frequently do not deal with it in the way that most people do. For example, the issue of slaughter houses in the US would cause a lot of people to become vegetarians. I would, instead, write a protest letter to the company, but I would continue to eat meat. Becoming a vegetarian would accomplish absolutely nothing, in my opinion. But many people still do it. And accomplish, what, exactly? The animals still die, in the same way. Their protest falls on deaf ears, simply because the protestors talk to the people that perpetrate the act they are protesting. Still, I think that all people are morally responsible to at least attempt to affect the issue in question, though I personally think that it should be in a direct manner, rather than some vague and subtle approach.

My suggestions

I think that we should have a blog topic in which we can post anything we want, as long as it is appropriate. We could use it to vent a bit, as well as practice good writing skills. It could encourage all of us to look at the blogs and post outside of class, perhaps resulting in better all around writing for all of us. I think that we sould recieve a completion mark for doing the blogging assignments, as well as perhaps bonus marks for outstanding work.

Super Power

If I could have any superpower, I would want to be able to manipulate fire. This would be good because I could put out fires in buildings and save lives, create and maintain an endless energy source and blow stuff up. I would be able to create fireworks at will, making it much cheaper to have fireworks displays and I could produce portable heat sources for poor people. Also, making fire is fun. I would definitely want to be able to manipulate fire.
